(LEO / FIRE / EMT)

James L

Active LEO, volunteer firefighter and EMT with an aggregate of 15 years in public safety.

James rapidly became fluent in radio technology and programming out of necessity; completely or partially maintaining/coordinating the radio fleets of two law enforcement agencies, seven fire departments and three school districts.

In his “day job,” James is a full-time deputy sheriff in northeast lower Michigan, assigned as a school resource officer most of the year and to road patrol in the summertime. A proud, self-proclaimed nerd, he actively seeks out new products and learns the technology as best he can to serve the needs of his fellow first responders. He has also entered the emergency vehicle upfitting business with a fellow police officer.

“Communication, while one of the most critical components of any emergency response, can easily become one of the first pieces to fall apart. Emergency service personnel need rock-solid, intuitive equipment and realistic, scenario-based training to use that equipment effectively and toits fullest potential. I’m thrilled to help my agencies spearhead advancements in this sector.”
