Comtac VIII Features

• Soundscape
  Automatically increases radio and voice prompt volume and reduces radio static to promote speech intelligibility in continuous noise.

• Ear Plug Mode
  Boosts environmental listening, comms volume and voice prompts to help compensate for additional attenuation when earplugs are worn under the headset as dual protection.

• Noise Cancelling Speech Microphone
  Mounted higher to the left cup only but maintains ambidextrous use. Delivers improved voice transmission in noise while reducing dust and water ingress. (IP68, 6m/30 min.).

• Ruggedized Cable
  Engineered to withstand harsh environmental conditions and repeated mechanical stress.

• Steel Headband
  Individually sprung stainless steel head band wires help to provide an even and consistent distribution of pressure around the ears for long term comfort.

• Fail Safe Comms
  Allows radio receive/transmit without headset power.

• Low Profile Headband
  Designed to help reduce ‘hot spots’ for  better comfort during extended wear  and allow for easy transition to helmet mounted comms.
