Sheepdog Quick Disconnect Lapel Mic for Motorola XTS Series Radios

The Sheepdog-23QD Quick Disconnect Police Lapel Microphone is a rugged, professional, public safety-grade audio accessory, designed with law enforcement officers (LEOs) in mind. Because every second counts and radio communications matter during high stress situations, the Sheepdog-23QD police mic headset is equipped with Dual-Switch Technology (DST). This design utilizes two independent PTT switches to ensure the Push-To-Talk (PTT) button is engaged no matter where the button is being pressed. The PTT button is rubberized and large enough to allow for use when wearing gloves. The Quick Disconnect (QD) adapter's "push-pull" design allows for easy attachment and quick release. The wired surveillance microphone can be removed from the adapter without disconnecting the adapter from the radio or pack set. With the wire kit disconnected and the adapter still attached to the radio, the police officer will be able to transmit and receive normally via the radio's PTT, front panel mic and built-in speaker. There is no need to remove the adapter for the officer or agent to utilize the normal radio functions. The Sheepdog's rugged poly-carbonate microphone housing is tough and the microphone is directional and noise reducing. Inside the microphone housing is a high-quality electret condenser microphone and a noise reducing mic element to produce excellent transmit audio. The high output transducer amplifier (speaker) delivers loud and clear audio. The 360 degree rotating metal reinforced clips are located on both the microphone and earphone to conceal the wires and secure to the officer's uniform. Polyurethane jacketed Kevlar reinforced cable with oversized strain reliefs provide peace of mind when on the job. The Sheepdog-23QD lapel mic is IP55 rated to protect against dust and rain. The quick twist acoustic tube assembly is perfect for hygiene and convenience. The Sheepdog-23QD can be worn on the left or right ear and the coiled audio tube can be trimmed to fit the user's needs.
